Crockpot Chicken

6 skinless/boneless chicken breasts
1 stick butter or margarine
1 package Italian dressing mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 {8 oz} package cream cheese
1 can water chestnuts {optional}

place chicken, butter or margarine, and Italian dressing mix in the crockpot and cook until chicken is fork tender {about 5 hours}
add remaining ingredients
heat, stirring occasionally until hot {about 1 hour}
serve over hot rice
