1/2 stick butter or margarine
6 pieces of chicken {1 pkg chicken strips}
1 cup long grain rice {do not use minute rice or you will have mush}
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
2 1/2 cups water
melt butter in 9x11 pan
add chicken {I usually chop chicken into bite sized pieces}
add rice evenly to cover dish
mix onion soup with water and pour over rice & chicken {make sure all rice is covered with water}
cover with foil
bake at 350 for 1-1 1/2 hours {usually takes 1 hour}
{check rice after 1 hour of baking to see if rice has absorbed all water and is moist}
